How to Create a RightFax Printer

Welcome to the RightFax Resource Center. Today I will be showing you how to create a RightFax printer from EFM.

This can be useful for organizations that want to automatically print specific faxes when they come in or allow their users to server print from FaxUtil directly.

Let’s begin in Enterprise Fax Manger

1. First right-click on Printers and select New
2. Next, enter:
   • Printer ID
     • Choose a unique name for the printer
   • Description
     • Enter a description of the printer. To show only the Printer ID in the Print dialog box, leave this box blank.
   • Printer Type
     • Select the printer driver used by RightFax to format faxes printed to this printer.
     • Not all printer types are defined in this list so choose the one that most closely corresponds to your printer.
     • If your laser printer supports both PostScript and PCL5, choose one of the HP LaserJet types rather than PostScript for faster printing.
     • If you want to print directly to your printer, check “Direct TCP / IP Printing” and enter the IP address of the printer instead of the print server name
   • Server Name
     • The file server where the print queue exists
   • Queue Name
     • The Share, Bindery, or Distinguished name of the queue

3. Finally, select OK
